People credited with this course can

• Assess the crane-lifted work platform for compliance with the Approved Code of Practice for Cranes (ACoPC’s) and company procedures
• Assess the platform for suitability for use; assess suitability of the crane for use with the platform; prepare the crane with the platform in accordance with the ACoPC’s. 
• Assess the hookup point, and level of training of operatives who will be working in the platform and personal protective equipment required when working above water
• Hook up the platform and describe the safe working limit (SWL) for the operation
• And develop an emergency plan for operating the platform
